Sorry Rich, I was refering to Mel and Andy as the "individuals". But I wasn't clear in that.
I'm sure you don't need to watch what your future parishioners are watching unless it's relevant to potential useful discussions. Big Brother may be popular, but I doubt many people would see it as a meaningful part of their lives and something you need to know about in order to relate to them on a pastoral (or evangelistic) level. Far better to find out what sort of things they're really enthusiastic about and get into those.
Of course, I say this with a little hesitation, being that Steve has many years of experience in these things and I have none....
(Mel) I am happy in my role as Vicar's wife to keep up to date with Big Brother etc. I feel it is only my duty to our future parish.
(Rich) I watched about 2 hours of Big Brother overall - enough to get by in a conversation but not enough to be able to feign enthusiasm. There are lots of Chav pursuits I'm into but this is not one of them (no social prejudice intended - I'm a Chav really, or used to be!)
Previous comment was very tongue in cheek! Am middle class and proud to be so. Did used to wear sports clothes and have hair gel at high school though.

It was Pete! :)
You sad individuals.
Jon Potts - I am NOT interested in Big Brother - sometimes this blog doesn't speak for the both of us.
...and Glynn came second, Asleine third and Richard fourth. Rich you need to watch what most of your future parishioners will be watching.

Rich - you're middle class. Face up to it. Embrace it. Middle class is good. Don't apologise for it.
