A Pirate's life for me.

(Mel) Back in Airlie Beach after a 3 day cruise around the Whitsundays on the largest wooden ship built in the Pacific. Beautiful ship, stunning views, great crew and nice bunch of people - Canadian, German, Belgian, Irish, Dutch and a few Aussies too. We went snorkelling a few more times which was great - swam among some big shoals of colourful fish and made friends with a pretty big Wrasse. I got stung by a jellyfish which was quite painful and a bit scary as some of them are deadly but you don't know until the poison sets in a bit later. I'm still alive though so all is well. Spent some time on Whitehaven beach which is just as beautiful as it looks in the pictures - white sand, clear blue water and little sharks that come within a metre of your toes when you paddle.

(Rich) The cruise was fantastic - the highlight being 5 dolphins who swam right up to the boat and chased it for 10 minutes! We also saw a humpback whale, squids and loads of fish. The best bit snorkelling in a strange kind of way was when I took in some seawater by mistake and was sick. All of a sudden hundreds of fish were teeming inches in front of me trying to get a taste of the congealed quiche and salad that had appeared there

Next stop Fraser Island, Dingos, spiders, turtles and 4 wheel drive vehicles driven by us! Tara for now.

Hello! Your trip sounds amazing so far! We went to the Big Sheep in Bideford at the weekend, and saw sheep racing, duck trials and really cute baby goats. Not quite so exotic, but we had fun! We miss you guys! xxx

The Big Sheep Rocks!!! Me and Jo went there too and having done the WhitSundays thing too i can say the Big Sheep beats it easy....well not really actually. Glad you had fun in Whitscundays, did you get to snorkel with bread in your mouth so all the fish go for it, thats really funny too. Big boat sounds great fun, hope you enjoy Fraser Island, whats the weather like? See you guys soon,

Rob

Even better than that, Rob - I swallowed salt water and was sick whilst snorkelling - the fish went mad for that!
